Knitting Catastrophe…

Ok, so catastrophe might be a bit dramatic. This is what happened. I cast on my 169 stitches to make my preggo best friend the cellular blanket from Erika Knight’s beautiful baby book (photograph of the expected end result from the book below).

It took me forever to make the border (I’m not a speedy knitter!), then moved on to the cellular pattern. Managed to pick up an extra little sneaky stitch from somewhere and in a little diva strop unravelled the whole lot. For now this can all just sit in my work basket and wait until I can work up the patience required to tackle it again. Good job babies take nine months to cook, that’s all I can say…
